I really should have posted this much earlier [blush], but better late than never!
I am nineteen years old, and live in rural Arkansas (not far from Bentonville, the hometown of Walmart). I graduated from homeschooling in 2010, earned 90 credit hours through CLEP and DSST tests, and am now in my senior year at Thomas Edison State College, taking online courses. My goal is to graduate from TESC in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in English; because I love writing, literature, and the language of ideas, I see writing as a core component of my future career.
I am a committed Christian and seek to glorify my Lord and Savior with every aspect of my life. I love to read (mostly nonfiction and classic literature), am in the midst of writing my first novel (www.beastandbeauty.com), and I adore blogging and have far too many blogs for my own good. For many years I have worked with my family in our commercial janitorial business. I plan to attend Bible school in Great Britain in 2013. I play the piano and bowed psaltery, and am involved in a local women’s choir.
I started this group as a response to the hundreds--perhaps thousands--of Christian homeschool girls who sometimes feel lonely and isolated as they struggle against the flow. Blessings to all of you who are journeying along this road with me!
