I thought it would be interesting to ask ya'll if you have a favourite quote/quotes. I know there are so many that I would pick but my favourite one this week is: "The highest privilege of mankind is to talk to God without asking for an appointment."
I don't know where it comes from, but I thought it was a great reminder that we can pray at any time, and it also fits in well with the blog topic this week.
So, what's your favourite quote?

Oooh, nice one! Here's one that helped me during college finals, "Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think." --Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

That reminds me of Jim Elliot's famous quote, which I love! " He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose." Imagine the possibilities if we all strove to live that way..............

I have lots of favorite quotes bu theses are probably my top five. "If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world." ~C.S. Lewis "Hold everything in your hands lightly, otherwise it hurts when God pries your fingers open." ~ Corrie ten Boom "Faith is a living and unshakable confidence. a belief in God so assured that a man would die a thousand deaths for its sake" ~ Martin Luther “I am not what I ought to be. I am not what I wish to be. I am not what I hope to be. Yet I can truly say I am not what I once was. By the grace of God I am what I am.” ~John Newton We don't know one googol of a googol of a googolplex of all the things there are to know about the universe! ~Douglas Phillips

I've heard the ones from Lewis and Ten Boom before; they're absolutely amazing and it was great to be reminded of them. Thanks for sharing

Hi, Tessa, Wow! Those are some pretty neat quotes! I loved that CS Lewis one. It reminded me of this one by Herman Melville: "Life's a voyage that's homeward bound."

Here is another. I think this one really well sums up what we are doing here on the forum: "It is good to rub and polish your mind against that of others" - Michel de Montaigne (1533-1592)
Compare that with Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend."

Great quotes!
I have so many favorites, but naturally, when asked to share them I can't think of them! Well, here's one that comes to mind:
“I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” - C.S. Lewis
And, come to think of it, a couple regarding education that I like:
"All learning which is acquired under compulsion has no hold upon the mind." - Plato
"Just as eating contrary to the inclination is injurious to the health, so study without desire spoils the memory, and it retains nothing that it takes in." - Leonardo da Vinci
